March 29, 2015

This week has been such a spiritual, mentally, emotionally and physically exhausting week, and because of that I have had so many learning and growing opportunities. Throughout the week I am always thinking about the experience, quote or whatever it is that I will send home in my email. This morning as I was looking over my notes and studying I was reminded or this time of year, The Death and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Yesterday during the Iba District Conference we had the privilege of hearing from Sister Dahle! I love her so much! She always has the spirit with her! She is always an example of Virtue and goodness. In her talk she asked a question that I have been reflecting about,

"Because of Christs Atonement I can.....?"

I took some tome to think about this question and answer it for myself!
Because of Christs Atonement I can do all things! Because of Christs Atonement I can always have a hope! Because of Christs Atonement I can give Hope to others! Because of Christs Atonement I can be forgiven over and over and over again! Because of Christs Atonement I can forgive over and over and over again! Because of Christs Atonement I can always have someone who knows and understands what I am always going through, I can have a Best friend and a Brother! Because of Christs Atonement I Can be a Best friend and Sister! Because of Christs Atonement I can ultimately inherit eternal life and gain exaltation like my perfect Father in Heaven! Because of Christs Atonement I can ultimately help others on their quest in receiving eternal life and gaining exaltation like our Perfect Father in Heaven!
Sister Dahle also shared some verses in 3 nephi 9 at time that Christ arrives to the Nephite people. In verse 15 he says, "Behold, I am Jesus Christ the Son of God. I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are. I was with eh Father from the beginning. I am in the Father, and the father in me; and in me he hath the Father glorified his name."

I know that my Savior lives! I know that he loves me and I know that he loves everyone!  I love him so much and can't wait to kneel at his feet! And give him thanks for all that he did!

Happy Easter!

Kamusta sa inyo lahat!

Adjusting to a new area isn't the easiest thing in the world, but It is great because it is teaching me a lot! Yesterday we taught Brother Dennis our investigator who is married to a member here! He is so prepared! And has a baptismal date for the end of April. Part member families are the best!

We also got to teach our Neighbor Sister Kalen. She is like our mom here! We love her so much! Every night she comes over and talks to us and asks us about our day and gives us food. We introduced to here the Book of Mormon and we were all crying and just hugging each other! She is such a special, happy, and loving person, I am so excited to see her progression.

Also I am going to have to freshin up on my piano skills that I really never had and get my fingers going because I am the new branch ward piano player!!! YAY! haha

Here is a quote that I love that I am learning so much here on the mission! God will not act to make us somthing that we do not choose by our actions to become. Truly he loves us, he neither compels nor abandons us. Rather He helps and guides us. Indeed, the real manifestation of God's love is His commandments." Elder D Todd Christopherson.

Love you all, God Bless!

March 8, 2015

My heart is so full right now. Tomorrow is another transfer day and i am almost positive that I will be transferring I have almost spent half my mission in Apollo area! I love Apollo ward with all of my heart. I feel so blessed to have been able to spend 7 months of my life with these amazing people! They have truly changed my life.

So yesterday we taught a lesson with Brother Bong one of my favorite Recent Converts and his sweet wife. We read 3 Nephi 11. I love that chapter. Jesus once said that in Heaven those who are humble will be the ones who are the highest in Heaven. Brother Bong is a great example of that. He can barely read, and he and his family barley get by every week with food. but He is so faithful in the church and when ever we ask him to follow a commandment his response is. "Yes I will do whatever if it is from the Lord"
I look up to him so much. I know he will be one of the highest in Heaven.

Then there is Sister Comedia! Her baptism is this Friday the 13!!!!! what a perfect day! I am pretty sure I wont be here because of the transfer, so I am so sad. I look up to Sister Comedia so much! She is a young mother with 4 kids. Her husband is gone a lot working so we aren't really able to teach him very often. Sister Comedia is one of those mothers that knows her role as a mother and does her best to fulfill it. She is so patient, loving, humble and kind. I love her so much! I can't wait to be a mother someday! What a noble calling!

Anyways...love you all so much. I am so blessed to be a missionary. So so blessed! There was a quote that I loved from stake conference this last Sunday! "There are things in life that we may have to give up (or pick up) in order to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ." I loved that quote! How very true it is!
